A wedding should always be about telling the story of the couple. From the location to the time of year, everything is representative of the relationship that has brought everyone together for this special day. We love everything about weddings but our favorite part is seeing how the personalities of the bride and groom are featured through our the day. For Sallie and Bennett this came through using custom designs from Sara Anderson Design.
The wedding day started with flurries that blanketed the area with a dusting of snow. If rain is said to be good luck on your wedding day, snow must be extra good luck. For this spring wedding the bride choose a beautiful palette of cornflower blue, green, and bridal white. These fresh colors are not as common so to get the look she wanted she reached out to Sara Anderson Design to help incorporate her unique color scheme into her special day.
The design process started with the invitations. Beautiful organic sketches of cornflower blue flowers with accents of green stems and leaves showed off the wedding colors in an elegant and natural way that exemplified the excellent taste of the couple. The invitations featured the custom design on the outside of a bi-fold outer cover with an elegant invitation and RSVP card that featured the same flowers as the outside cover. The finishing touch for the invites was a corresponding dark blue ribbon tied in a beautiful bow.
When the bridal party gathered at the venue, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek to get ready the bride had an extra special surprise – custom robes made in the colors of the wedding. These organic spring colors were the perfect palette for the rustic venue nestled in the hills of North Carolina. These custom robe designs were created in concert with the bride. Taking into consideration the flowers that would be used for the wedding as well as the desired color palette. The result was a completely customized robe that served as a beautiful design element on the day and a lasting gift.

Who could leave out the dapper gentleman of the wedding party? Not this bride. The wedding day customizations continued to the groom and groomsmen with pocket squares that featured the blue flowers from the invitations and robes. This is a fantastically elegant way to include the gentlemen of the wedding if you want to add your custom wedding design in a simple but meaningful way.
Event planning was executed by Pinnacle Events and after a beautiful church ceremony the reception kicked off with the space adorned with beautiful white flowers and lush greenery provided by Ray’s Florist & Greenhouse which created an elegance against the wood beams and walls.

The reception tables were a beautiful mix of round and elongated wood tables with white linens, small arrangements of white flowers and greenery nestled in gold cups along side gold tapered candles with white candlesticks in clear glass hurricane vases. Completing the elegant tablescapes was a pop of color provided by blue glasses and napkins which corresponded with the table numbers featuring the same flower design from the invitations.
Catering, provided by BaddaBing Catering, and included a stunning display of the wedding cake crafted from white buttercream and white chocolate shavings. The cake sat atop a simple display of floral including white hydrangea, white roses, and silver dollar eucalyptus.
